Job DescriptionMechanical Engineer, PE - Commercial MEP - (Washington)Seattle, WAActive PE state license (WA state) + Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering + 10+yrs engineering experience, inclusive of commercial and MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) + experience with HVAC or plumbing design and project management experienceNegotiable Salary(sponsorship not available)Submit resume via www.bkoutlooks.com#jobs#bkoutlooksJob Responsibilities: Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents to support MEP engineering needs for a variety of building types (commercial office, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, multifamily, etc.), especially in the area of HVAC, plumbing and other mechanical systems Project management responsibilities on both small and large projects, establish schedules, assign resources, monitor performance and keep project on time and on budget Maintain and organize all mechanical engineering related documents and schedules, along with any associated general project documents Provide review of mechanical design submittals and go into the field as needed to address any issues, conflicts, questions that may arise Generate and present project status updates as needed to a variety of internal and external audiences Work toward developing new business with existing and new clients through building relationships. Job Qualifications: Active PE state license (WA state) Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering (MS degree a plus) 10+yrs engineering experience, inclusive of commercial and MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing Experience with HVAC or plumbing design and project management experience Experience with reviewing, editing and writing project specifications Experience with generating and/or reviewing production submittals against project specifications Experience with walk through's, defining scope and generating bill of materials Strong skills in Revit or compatible software + AutoCAD experience Familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster a plus HVAC / Plumbing design and Project Management experience for commercial, multifamily, educational, health care and institutional buildings is a very strong plus Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with a range of people from subcontractors to project owners
