MECHANICAL ENGINEERReady to make your application Please do read through the description at least once before clicking on Apply.CV Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office. The Engineer shall provide engineering design and details, and shall work in conjunction with Project Managers, and other team members for successful completions of mechanical design and engineering from commercial and industrial projects.The successful candidate shall have the following specific responsibilities: • Perform analysis and calculations as required for sizing mechanical equipment and pipping systems in accordance with the project requirements and all applicable codes and standards. • Provide technical and design guidance to the designers in preparation of construction drawings (equipment layouts, plans, cross sections, details, flow diagrams, P&IDs, bills of material, etc.). • Assist Department Manager in preparation of procurement and construction specifications, bid evaluation. • Review project scope and vendor information and assist Department manager to establish design criteria and guidelines. • Coordinate with other departments, as required. • Coordinate with vendors, as required. • Identify and resolve any potential conflicts, problems, changes or deviations in designs and engineering. • Review, monitor, and approve technical quality of the work performed in the department. • Perform site visits, as required. • Review department design standards and assist the Department Manager to ensure compliance within the department and updating them as required.REQUIREMENTS:• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design engineering with emphasis on piping systems (water, sanitary, hydraulics, lubrication, gases, steam, etc.), and HVAC. • Experience should include heavy industrial facilities. • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. • P.E. preferred. Must be registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Alabama.• Experience with AutoCAD. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
