Mechanical Engineer - Process Controls & AutomationNES Fircroft is actively seeking experienced Engineers for a long-term full-time Contract position with our client's plant site located in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, just west of downtown Charlotte! This position would beopen to both Mechanical & Electrical Engineering backgrounds and will focus on Process Controls & Automation work at the site, with a strong potential to convert to a permanent position down the road.All interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to send their updated resumes directly to gabriel.fox@ along with their availability.Job Overview: Our client in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with a strong background in Process Controls and Automation to join their team for a full-time contract to hire opportunity at their plant site. The ideal candidate will have experience working in chemical or metals manufacturing environments and possess a solid understanding of plant maintenance processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects while optimizing manufacturing processes.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems focused on process controls and automation for manufacturing operations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements in chemical or metals manufacturing environments.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to process controls, automation systems, and mechanical equipment.Assist with plant maintenance projects, ensuring that equipment is operating efficiently and safely.Provide technical support and guidance to production and maintenance teams regarding mechanical systems, process controls, and automation technology.Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.Manage and execute engineering projects, including the installation and commissioning of new automation and control systems.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all engineering activities.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in process controls and automation, preferably in a chemical or metals manufacturing environment.Experience with plant maintenance and reliability engineering.Knowledge of automation systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA, DCS) and mechanical equipment.Proficiency with CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.Familiarity with safety regulations in industrial environments.#J-18808-Ljbffr
