Our client seeks an outgoing individual who will conduct mechanical and visual inspections of parts, subassemblies, and completed products.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensures products meet the organization's and customers' quality and product integrity requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspection on the product using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of product per procedures.
- Perform first-piece inspection and in-process inspections.
- Communicate with production supervisor/team leaders/operators about problems found during inspections.
- Documents inspection results in electronic media and maintains meticulously detailed records pertinent to inspection results.
- Writes non-conforming material reports for defective products.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Background concerning the usage and care of precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Ability to effectively read and understand blueprints, engineering documents, inspection manuals, and procedures.
- Must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections.
- Demonstrates an understanding of related aerospace ISO and AS9100 requirements.
- Must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail at all times and complete tasks promptly.
- Knowledge of dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspection processes.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
- CMM experience is a plus
