Mechanical Maintenance Technician I Responsibilities:Keep safe work habits as the highest priority at all timesMaintain a clean and well-organized workspace at all timesStrive to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers and associatesAssist in repair and maintenance of steam systemsAssist in installation and maintenance of instrument tubingAssist in repair of all types of rotating and other mechanical-related equipmentAssist in troubleshooting mechanical-related problemsAssist in alignment of pumps and other equipmentProperly document all service and repairsAssist with repairing conveyor beltsAssist in installation of small-bore screw-pipe jobsAssist in cleaning of tanksAssist in cleanup of spillsOperate forklift for transport of equipment as neededGrease chain couplingsOperate a bandsawGrease electric motorsPerform bolting proceduresInstall PVC pipe and fittingsOperate a scissor liftOperate a manliftMaintain the grounds (general cleaning, organize surplus parts / equipment, etc.Perform preventive maintenance and work to continually improve preventive maintenanceAvailable for call-out when scheduled by Maintenance DepartmentAll Mechanical Tech I employees will be paired with a Mechanical Tech III or higher while performing permitted workAvailable for call-out when assistance is neededComplete CMMS work orders accurately Mechanical Maintenance Technician I Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMust have an >80 % average score on the Work Keys evaluation.Must have successfully completed and passed a Functional Job Capacity Evaluation(FCE)Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs is beneficialValid driver's license must be maintained Strong communication skills requiredComputer proficiencyErgon offers a competitive benefits package: 401(k) with company match, Health, Life, Dental, Paid Holidays, Vacation, Sick Leave, Tuition Assistance and Profit Sharing.We are an EEO/AAP employer.Employment offer contingent upon pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR.
