New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a Mechanical Technician 5 for a 2-month Contract position with the potential for extension or conversion.Compensation: $41.00 per hourSummary: The main function of a Facilities Technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings.Qualifications: Minimum of 10 yrs of Mechanical/HVAC experienceJourneyman certification is a must in HVAC or ElectricalCommercial or pressure systems switching KnowledgeHSE KnowledgeCity & Guilds or equivalent in an Engineering, Building Services, Construction or related disciplineSMSTMS / IOSH / NEBOSH certification desirableManager or supervisory experience of contractors for both remedial service and maintenanceCertificated assessor for building services activities including confined space, hot works, working at height, desirable hold or held an AP appointment for pressure systemsExperienced Authorized Person and competent operator of Permit to Work systemsComputer literate, familiar with MS Office Applications, including Microsoft Project and capable of becoming competent user of bespoke databasesExperience of having worked in a similar role within a large diverse organization and have a proven track record of success in delivering and monitoring EHS activitiesExcellent knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental issues, with the ability to interpret relevant policy and legislation, and implement this across all working practices.Client Controls Experience / HVAC ExperienceUnderstanding not limited to PRVs , Pumps, Bore water systems, compressors LP. Boilers & steam SystemsRead system drawings, fault finding on relays, PCBs, closed water systems.
