DescriptionStarting Wage from $20.34/hour +(Pay range varies with experience)Drives/operates ROW vehicles and equipment as necessary to safely and efficiently complete tasks and projectsPerforms daily inspection and maintenance of chainsaws and safety equipment; must be able to safely and efficiently operate chainsawsPerforms right of way clearing duties, to include the following: bucket work, climbing work, ground clearing, cutting, chipping, piling, burning, and other disposal of brushSafely operates mechanized trimmer to trim trees along right of way & stop work to notify supervisor in the event of safety hazardsPerforms preventative maintenance on equipment and keeps documentation of maintenance performedInspects ROW in front of equipment to flag obstacles (i.e. phone pedestals, guy wire, septic tanks/systems, water and gas lines/meters, etc.)Performs traffic control duties around work area as neededMust understand general safety rules and policies and promote good relations with other crew members, patron cooperatives, and the general publicMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSIn pursuant of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to AECC/AECI standards and processesAs a condition of employment, this position requires a post-offer, pre-employment Fitness for Duty ExamAt least 3 months experience and/or trainingA valid driver's license is requiredAble to work in outside or inside working environment, wherein there are potentially hazardous working conditions and life-threatening situations exist (fire, chemical, moving mechanical parts, electrical sources, fumes, airborne particles, heights, dangerous people, etc.)Able to work in extreme heat or coldAble to work in extremely loud areasAble to perform highly repetitive and physical functionsMust be able to travel to various locations and stay overnight as required to complete work assignmentsDue to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled hours when necessary is an essential function of the jobTraining specified in 29 CFR 1910.269(a)(1)(i)(E)Lace-up, 8-inch minimum height, work boots with a hardened toe, differentiated heel, and leather uppers.
