Location: Dobson,NC, USA
This position will assist instructors with lab setups and overall classroom management.
NOTE: The purpose of a continuous recruitment posting is to build a pool of interested applicants should the need for additional lab assistants arise due to student enrollment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Help with ELC-228 class labs
* Lab set up with preparation of materials and machinery for lab exercises
* Assisting faculty with the preparation and administration of student assignments
* Review student's hands on work before they can move on to next project
* Assisting in the development and enforcing of safety practices in the instructional laboratories
* Maintaining supplies and equipment for laboratories
* Maintaining inventory in supply cribs, generation of supply order for Lead Instructor
* Help with clean up
* Performing other job specific duties as assigned by the Lead Instructor
* Maintain a clean and safe work area.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers/administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as those needed for the interpretation/creation of graphs, logical equations, and permutations..
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
Must have PLC training and/or OTJ work experience with this equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
