Job Description:
SUMMARYThis is a medical position responsible for the duties of medical activates at The Last Resort. The LVN provides nursing services to patients under supervision of the Director of Nursing. You will assist in the administrative efficiencies through the medical service areas. This position is for our Baylor Plan, which is Saturday and Sunday 6am-10pm both days every weekend. You will work 32 hrs. and be paid for 40 hours. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties may be assigned:
  • On site medical observation, monitoring and client service.
  • Assures thorough open communication with the pharmacy that medications and other medical needs for clients.
  • Works with clinical, medical, and all other staff to ensure quality service for clients and to maintain a high level of professionalism in all areas of The Last Resort.
  • Communicate with clinical, medical, and administrative staff regarding client disorders, issues or concerns
  • Adherence to all facility, State and Federal policy and procedure concerning client confidentiality, rights and anonymity
  • Assurance that appropriate boundaries and ethical behavior are maintained at all times with clients, families, referents, and other professionals
  • Participate in staff meetings as needed.
  • Completes evaluations and reports
  • Uses clear communication with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Follows all policies and procedures of The Last Resort.
  • Provides services planned to restore client to optimum social and health adjustment.
  • Assures safe employee practices at all times.
  • Performance of the nursing assessment or delegation of the assessment at time of an admission into services, provides review to all documents in nursing prevue requiring a nurse manager review.
  • Providing client support services while in treatment.
  • Creating a safe, comfortable, and client-focused treatment environment.
  • Communicate rights and expectations for behavior to clients in a consistent and respectful manner.
  • All other duties as delegated and assigned.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Able to navigate a computer and use basic software.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Have a neat and clean appearance.
