Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a Media Director to provide media thought leadership, direct overall media strategy, oversee media services for all agency media clients, conduct financial oversight of all media spending, and compose integrated media plans as necessary. Candidates must possess 10+ years of prior advertising agency experience, specifically concentrated in the discipline of media. This position reports to the SVP/Managing Director.Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead integrated media strategy, planning, and buying for all agency clients
- Interact with the President, SVP/Managing Director, SVP/Client Experience, and Director of Analytics to strategize and problem solve communication challenges
- Possess a solid understanding of the external business and market dynamics of assigned clients
- Directly manage all media staff across the planning and operations disciplines
- Develop a close working partnership with the accounting department on invoices, reconciliation, and insertion order tracking
- Work closely with media and creative project managers on specs, timing, and context for all campaigns that involve creative services
- Foster strong working relationships with all clients and external partners
- Contribute to new business development as needed
Routine Tasks:
- Oversee and deliver integrated media plans that include digital and traditional tactics
- Direct and coordinate the work of media staff to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with the analytics team to create media performance reports that effectively tie back campaign performance and available data to client marketing objectives
- Work closely across internal creative, accounting, research, production, and finance departments
- Effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Resolve challenging situations both internally and with the client
