Since our establishment, we have demonstrated and perfected our ability to manage the customer's needs, no matter how complex - offering exceptional service and the Precise solution.We are seeking anInventory Logisticianto join our team in Newport, RI.Functional Description:Logisticians integrate the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments. Logisticians are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance. The Logistician prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support, and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped. It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment.Duties:Support the AN/BYG-1 Media Delivery Team in any tasks required including:Prepare transmittal paperwork for shipmentsUpload receipts and file electronicallyTrack deliveries to ensure shipments have/had been receivedReview transmittals and shipments to ensure a quality productHandling and storage of classified and unclassified materialBITs database trackingAlfresco database (where documentation is found)Follow up with Squadrons to confirm deliveries and notifications via phone calls/emails.Work closely with Division Heads to ensure their availability for signature of approval for all deliveriesWork closely with Installation Team Leads to determine installation requirementsOther tasks as assigned associated with BYG-1 media shipment/movementMedia duplication efforts for support with fleet installation mediaRequired Education:High school diploma/vocational or GED.Required Experience:Three years professional experience in integrate logistics support.Required Skills:Effective communication, both verbal and writtenGood organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a team environmentStrong time management skillsExperience in MS Office including Word, Excel and OutlookCurrent DoD SECRET ClearanceHigh School DiplomaPreferred Experience:Database experience: NTIRA, AIMTC, BITsMinimum 5 years' experience with logistics at NUWCDrafting and submitting DD-1149s for shipmentsExperience with Classified shipmentsAssociate and/or Bachelor degreeMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
