Summary Operating Title: Social Media Producer Long Classification Title: Communication Information Specialist II Campus Location: Durham Department: UNH Communication and Public Affairs - AVP Administration Summary of Position: The University of New Hampshire is seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Producer to join our central marketing team. This role will be instrumental in developing and executing engaging social media content that embodies UNHs spirit and values. Reporting to the Senior Social Media Manager, the Social Media Producer will focus on storytelling through digital media, engaging audiences and maintaining the universitys brand across various social platforms. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of social media trends, a strong sense of UNHs mission and voice and experience collaborating with student workers to produce authentic, compelling content. Acceptable minimum level of education: Bachelor's Acceptable minimum years of experience: 2 years Additional Job Information: Posting Number: PS4980FY25 Other minimum qualifications: Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, digital media or a related field. 2+ years of experience managing social media channels, including content creation, strategy and engagement. Strong proficiency in content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), Canva and mobile editing apps. Demonstrated experience with video production, photography and/or graphic design for social media. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of visual storytelling. Knowledge of social media trends, algorithms and best practices, especially across platforms popular with university audience Additional Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in higher education or a similarly structured environment. Experience supervising or mentoring students or interns.
