Inizio Evoke Comms is a global, award-winning health communications agency that partners with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medtech, consumer, and non-profit clients. We deliver insights-driven public relations campaigns, policy programs, and initiatives that advance health and wellbeing around the world.

We are looking for a Media Relations Specialist to join our growing team and to support earned media projects. This is an opportunity to support programming efforts for clients in the pharmaceutical space, using your communications training and experience to improve health and make a difference.

This is a hybrid role that will report into the SVP, Media Relations.

You will:

Client Partnership

* Conduct research to support client programs and recommendations

* Demonstrate understanding of basic media outreach practices; build thoughtful media lists; begin outreach to select media outlets

* May handle coordination of client status meetings, including proactive development of agendas and next steps

* Monitor traditional media to develop reports for clients

* Track on opportunistic media (e.g., HARO, ProfNet, Bulldog Reporter) and flags to appropriate team members with rationale

* Manage administrative tasks and logistical support as determined by client project/program

* Be the media liaison to account teams to support client projects

* Participate in new business brainstorms and conduct research for new business projects

* Show a basic understanding of web-based research tools, i.e., Cision, Quid

* Encourage and respond to feedback from manager and team members

* Manage small research projects with manager direction and develops concise reports to share findings with the team

* Participate in and contribute to internal meetings

You will bring:

* Bachelor's Degree in relevant marketing/communications field

* Relevant internship or previous experience in marketing/communications

* General understanding of web-based research tools

* Working knowledge of Cision, Quid and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

* Superb internal and external communication skills (verbal, written, listening)

* Possesses strong time management skill, able to balance multiple priorities

* Strong research skills

* Passionate about improving lives through innovations in health
