For more information on the Office of the Attorney General, please visit The Office of Attorney General seeks an Investigator for the Medicaid FANS Division. The primary mission of Medicaid FANS is to protect tax-payer dollars by investigating and prosecuting healthcare provider fraud. Healthcare provider fraud occurs in many settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, and pharmacies. Medicaid FANS also protects patients by investigating and prosecuting abuse, neglect, and exploitation that occurs in healthcare settings.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, be a certified law enforcement officer in the State of South Dakota and have three years of criminal or fraud investigative experience. Special consideration will be given to applicants with a background in nursing, accounting, or auditing.Applicants must be able to meet all minimum standards for law enforcement employment and certification at the time of appointment. Applicants who are not law enforcement certified must complete a thirteen-week basic law enforcement certification course.Licenses and Certifications:A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, be a certified law enforcement officer in the State of South Dakota and have three years of criminal or fraud investigative experience.
