If you would like to learn more about us, please visit our website: The Medical Administrative Coordinator is responsible for performing general office duties, including scheduling appointments, filing, and providing information to patients over the phone and during office visits.
  • Greeting and checking patients in a fast-paced medical office
  • Answering telephones and responding appropriately to client calls and inquiries
  • Collecting patient balances and all necessary healthcare insurance information and paperwork
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Assisting the Doctor and controlling the flow of the patients in the office
  • Making chart notes and notes for the Doctor
Medical Administrative Coordinator Skills/Abilities
  • Independent work is required

  • Accurate typing and date entry skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of HIPPA requirements regarding patient confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize job duties to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Have organizational skills to maintaining logs and provide follow-up with other departments
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as patient charts, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports, correspondence, and patient notes when requested.
  • Ability to speak effectively and clearly to patients and their family members.
Medical Administrative Coordinator Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED certificate
  • Experience working in a medical office
  • Experience working with an EMR system
