Prefer graduation of a post-secondary medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) and/or 6-12 month clinical experience. AHA BLS certification within two weeks of hire. Clinical skills: Clinical Skills may be specific to the clinical setting but may include EKGS, respiratory testing, lab tests classified as waived under CLIA, and administering medication only by unit, or single dosage, or by a dosage calculated and verified by a healthcare practitioner. Equipment/Technology: Basic computer skills necessaryLanguage/Communication: English, Medical terminology, Grammar, Spelling & punctuationMathematical Skills: BasicMental Capabilities: Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flowInterpersonal: Effectively communicates with administration, managers, and staff.
