  • Provides excellent care to patients and assistance to physicians.
  • Duties include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the Electronic Medical Record system, assisting with day to day patient care, and other duties as assigned.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are crucial for this role, as well as the ability to pay close attention to detail and multi-task.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, and transition duties as needed during clinic days.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and ability to follow through with all tasks assigned with accuracy and efficiency are essential for this role.
QualificationsEducation
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.
Experience
  • Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care.
  • Prefer medical office, insurance, referral and prior authorization, hospital or computer experience.
  • Experience in office clerical activities desirable.
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)Licensure/Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
  • CMA or RMA preferred.
Compensation/Benefits
  • $13.74-$22.44/hr depending on previous work experience.
