Job Summary: Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of patient care. Provides indirect patient care in a clinical setting and other areas as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:High school diploma required. MA certification required.Current BLS required. Prior Ortho and Phlebotomy experience required.
What you will do (Roles and Responsibilities): - Provides indirect patient care and obtains blood pressure, pulse oximetry, temperature, heart rate, respirations and weight accurately.
- Relays any abnormal or unusual vital signs or occurrences in a timely manner.
- Performs and accurately documents assigned delegated patient care duties.
- Prepares/updates medical records for new and current patients.
- Identifies communication and cultural needs of the patient and utilizes resources to ensure appropriate delivery of patient care.
- Corrects and/or reports all unsafe environmental conditions and failures and demonstrates responsibility to the overall safety of the work area.
- Participates in unit activities, attends scheduled meetings/in-services.
- Complete all mandatory education programs.
- Carries out patient care assignments delegated by physician.
- Other duties as assigned.
