Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the futureThe HSE Specialist - Data Analytics & Reporting is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data related to HSE performance metrics and indicators to help reduce operational risk, increase reliability, and enhance safety across Phillips 66 Midstream operations. This role involves identifying insights and developing strategies to improve HSE performance and ensure regulatory compliance. This position supports identification and development of key performance indicators including building and designing databases to meet business needs. Additionally, the HSE Data Specialist, manages issues central to Midstream HSE including policy updates and HSE incident tracking database administration. Responsibilities may include:
  • Track and publish HSE metrics, provide data for industry benchmarking and manage compliance verification requirements on behalf of Midstream Operations
  • Maintaining performance data on various HSE Dashboards, websites and applications
  • Assessing the quality of HSE data and working with the business units to understand and improve data quality
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management and key stakeholders
  • Collect and analyze data to identify patterns and trends
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Supporting HSE data quality improvement initiatives participating in external and internal HSE performance reporting and benchmarking with peer companies
  • Gather and document HSE system requirements for system enhancements, bug fixes, or new integrations
  • Lead feedback sessions with HSE information system users to prioritize required system enhancements
  • Lead demonstrations of new functionality within HSE information systems and processes
  • Test and approve HSE information system enhancements, bug fixes, and operational data
  • Drive innovation and application of new technologies to HSE systems and processes
  • Working knowledge of SQL and applications used to extract data and create reports
  • Working with IT support teams on technical issues and upgrades
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, safety, engineering, or related discipline with strong analytical emphasis
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Experience and understanding of Power Bi, Alteryx and Tableau
  • Understanding of SQL database and Azure Data Lake
  • Demonstrated expert use of technology to gather, interpret, analyze, and present data
  • Ability to perform detailed data analysis including regression analysis, pivot tables, custom queries and advanced use of incident/near miss data.
Preferred:
  • Experience in an HSE or supporting role collaborating with operations and IT
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills characterized by effective communication, teamwork, and influence, as well as the ability to quickly develop trust, establish strong relationships, and drive results
