A reputable urgent care network based in NYC is currently seeking Medical Assistants for their Brooklyn location. This clinic strives to treat a range of illnesses and diseases quickly and affordably, making long trips to the ER a thing of the past. They are currently seeking passionate candidates to join their team and provide seamless delivery of care.

The base pay range for this position is $19 to $22 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. Responsibilities:

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and document information into EMR.
• Perform phlebotomy, complete appropriate laboratory forms
• Accurately label specimens with patient information.
• Collect laboratory and ancillary test results from the computer, email or fax reports.
• Perform EKG and audio-visual testing and conduct tests (Urinalysis, Rapid Strep/Flu, Glucose (finger), mono, splinting/strapping, etc.).
• Assist on procedures including the setup and processing of equipment.
• Discharge patients from room with instructions.
• Perform vitals, specimen collections, health assessments and follow-up for patients.
• Ensure patient flow is speedy and organized.

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Technician Certification
• Experience performing phlebotomy
• At least one year of experience working in a clinical setting
• BLS certification ideal
