What you'll do:

Responsibilities/Duties:

* Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Collects detailed and accurate patient history.

* Prepares and maintains exam rooms with necessary instruments, equipment and supplies.

* Follows up with patient on physician's current patient care notes or instructions.

* Provides general assistance, education and information to patient questions.

* Assists physicians in setup and performance of medical procedures under the direction of physician or nurse manager.

* Maintains DME supplies.

* Responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality.

* Prepares, cleans and stocks examination rooms. Assures surfaces are clear and puts away any articles that were left out and replenishes missing stock in drawers and cabinets.

* Unpacks new supply deliveries and stores away items as directed.

* Assists members of clinical support staff and physicians with all duties as necessary and appropriate.

* Identifies OSHA issues and communicates for correction.

* Follows all HIPAA regulations as instructed.

* Follows policies and procedures.

* Performs other duties/projects as assigned.

* Greet and register patients in a prompt and pleasant manner.

* Request updates from established patients.

* Perform Expediter duties (escort patients to exam rooms).

* Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* General knowledge of office procedures and computer systems.

* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

* Ability to handle high stress, busy work environment.

* Knowledge of Word & Outlook Required.

* Orthopedic and/or casting experience preferred.

* Pleasant, professional, and articulate phone skills.

* Knowledge of medical terminology.

* Strong organizational skills.

* Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
