Job Description:

Provides patient care in the office setting. Meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of the Provider. Maintains regulatory requirements, office policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with providers and team members about patient's clinical condition. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other team members, patients and providers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members.Requirements Must be CertifiedGreeting PatientsRegister patients to patient portal in EMRTriage patients following HIPAA GuidelinesAppropriate vital signs according to AAP guidelines (weight, height, temp, b/p, pulse and head circumference, O2 stats)Update patient medical, surgical and family history in EMR at every visitAssist with minor procedures including preparing patient for treatmentComply with all OSHA regulationsSafe and proper handling of blood/body fluid contamination including disposalCapillary puncture for in house lab testing (LEAD, Hemoglobin, mono, PKU, A1-C)Vision/hearing screeningsPrepare, Administer and record immunizations in EMR and LINKS or MIIX and Patient Log.Use of Safety devicesAdminister nebulizer treatmentsCall in prescriptions under the direction of the NP/MDAssist in patient call backs under the direction of the CPNP/MDPerform basic lab tests (U/A, UCG, Strep, Flu, RSV)Record in house test in EMR and link to ordersRecord in house test and procedures on Flow Lab LogCollecting and preparing laboratory specimensKeep Laboratory supplies organized and clean including equipmentInventory and provide supplies needed to Office ManagerExam room cleaning and disinfecting in between patientsRestocking of supplies in exam rooms daily and as neededLab and x-ray retrievalCheck all demographics in SevocityComplete community care well visit appointments log-scheduling Patients for appointmentsReview expiration dates in sample closetProper disposable of red bags in biohazard containerReferral follow ups including referral logRecording telephone messages in the EMR and the telephone message logOther duties as assignedChildren's International, LLC provides equal employment opportunity to all team members and applicants.
