Job Title - Medical AssistantJob location - Yardley, PA 19067Job Duration - 15 weeksShift timings - Shifts can vary based on below times:7a-3:30p7:30a-4p8a-4:30p8:30a-5p9a-5:30p11a-7:30p12p-8:30pHours vary throughout the week (ex: M 8a-4:30p, T 7:30a-4p, W 8a-4:30p, Th 12p-8:30p F 8:30a-5p)One evening shift per week is required to be worked by all employees.Saturdays are on a rotation - approximately 1 Saturday every 5-8 weeks. Schedule for Saturday - 830a-1230pResponsibilitiesThis position is to function as a member of the clinical team and completes assigned daily clinical operations to ensure smooth day to day operations in the SMG physician practiceThe Medical Assistant I must maintain a professional, positive manner when talking with patients (and all customers) in-person, over the phone or via emailWorks closely with providers to assist in delivering world class care to patientsRooms patient and prepares the patient for the provider visitTakes vital signs as necessaryResponsible for accurate blood pressures, temperature, pulse, pulse oximetry, weight, height, respiratory rates and entering accurately into EMRRecords patient history, chief complaint, pharmacy information, prescription list, etc into EMR for physicalObtains required consents, completes required forms as needed for specific visit typesProperly labels all specimens, adhering to SMG policyAdministers vaccines and medications as ordered by provider, adhering to SMG policiesResponsible to follow TCM (Transitional Care Management), CCM (Chronic Care Management) and RPM (Remote Patient Monitoring) workflows if active in the practiceAssists with incoming calls as needed by answering, triaging, and routing telephone calls appropriately as neededSchedules patient appointments and appropriate testing as ordered by provider upon check out from appointments or any other time as requestedMust be able to work independently with little supervisionAlways uses discretion to ensure patient confidentiality QualificationsStrong customer service excellence expectedExcellent communication and interpersonal skills requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredEducation from approved medical assistant program or equivalent Compliance:BLSCOVID-19 vaccinationOSHA respirator questionnaireSkills ChecklistMedical Assistant Certification#TB_HC
