Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is a contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and streamline patient appointments by managing provider schedules, verifying patient demographics and insurance details, and ensuring all necessary forms are completed and signed.
• Facilitate seamless patient visits by greeting patients, escorting them to exam rooms, collecting medical history, and obtaining vital signs, including weight, height, blood pressure, and temperature.
• Maintain high standards of care by preparing and cleaning exam rooms before and after each appointment, following infection prevention protocols, and restocking supplies as needed.
• Support clinical operations by assisting with examinations, procedures, and treatments, administering oral and parenteral (excluding IV) medications, and maintaining accurate medical and immunization records.
• Ensure effective communication by serving as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, addressing patient concerns, and providing clear, culturally sensitive information.
• Educate and empower patients by explaining office policies, providing health maintenance and disease prevention education, and connecting patients with relevant community resources.

Required Qualifications:

• High School graduate, GED or equivalent
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification
• EPIC experience

Additional Information:

• Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
• Job Type: Contract – 13 weeks *possible extension*
• Schedule: Monday to Thursday – 07:45 am to 04:15 pm
• Pay Range: $ 19.00 to 24.00/hour

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
