About the Company:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic cardiology team. As the Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients while supporting the healthcare team. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, assisting with patient care, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor, be adept at utilizing technology, and have previous experience with Athena software preferred. You will be working under the supervision of Dr.Raghav Sharma, he holds 8 board certifications, and is fond of teaching and educating medical trainees and APP's.

About the Role: Heartwell Cardiology is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our cardiology practice. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and healthcare staff in providing high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced cardiology office.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vitals (blood pressure, pulse, weight, etc.).
  • Assist in performing EKGs, stress tests, and cardiovascular diagnostic procedures.
  • Document patient history and symptoms.
  • Provide patient education related to cardiovascular health and treatments.

Clinical Support:

  • Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
  • Ensure examination rooms are prepared and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage patient appointments and ensure smooth scheduling.
  • Maintain medical records and input data into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers for verification and billing.
  • Answer phones and manage patient inquiries with professionalism.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification (CMA or RMA) is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Previous experience in a cardiology office is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
