Job Type:Full TimeSummary:Our busy Orthopaedic clinic is looking for a Medical Assistant to perform various office and clinical duties to keep our practice running efficiently. Our Medical Assistant will work directly with healthcare practice staff to room patients, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures to patients and assist in basic examinations.Position Duties:
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of Tri-City Orthopaedic Clinic
  • Obtain patient consent for care and ensure patient confidentiality
  • Accurately and promptly document patient health information (PHI), vital signs, risk factors, disease condition, and information on chief complaint
  • Monitor and document treatment progress
  • Educate patients and families about health status and management of conditions
  • Refers to and consults with physicians and health care providers to prevent and/or resolve problems and/or concerns
  • Participate in interdepartmental teams to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Room patients and record information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history
  • Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
  • Assist in maintaining medical inventory and placing orders as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Schedule:Monday - FridayRequirementsEducation, Licenses and Qualifications:Required:
  • Certified medical assistant certificate/diploma from an accredited institution
  • Current and unrestricted MA license for the State of Washington
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Current immunization record
  • Current HIV/AIDS education training
  • Minimum one (1) year of medical assistant experience preferred
