The Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse will provide professional nursing or medical assistant care under supervision or scope of licensure for clinic patients.
- Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
- Coordinate provider schedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
- Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
- Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
- Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards.
- Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.
Qualifications: BLS Certification Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from approved program. (Can be obtained on the job).Medical Assistant: Certified as a Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant through an approved accreditor preferred, however can train on the job.Licensed Practical Nurse: Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing. Valid Practical Nursing license in the state of WI through an approved accreditor.Shift: Working 40 hours a week, working in various departments in the clinic.
