Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.* Career Growth: Great opportunity to obtain health care experience for those that are looking to further their education in a healthcare related field.* Job Satisfaction: Each day you will positively impact each patient you serve with providing direct patient care.Job Summary* Performs selected medical assistant and clerical duties that assist in care for clinic patients following established standards, practices, and competency.* Works collaboratively with other clinic staff to solve practice-related problems.* Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status.* Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE* Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or diploma preferred.* Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS* National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); or* National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or* National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma or National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association with one year of experience.Work Schedule* Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks* 8:00 am - 5:00 pmPayThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
