MEDICAL ASSISTANT ( MA ) NON- CERT JOB SUMMARYA Medical Assistant ( MA ) works with the patients to ensure and provide courteous service regarding patient check in/out procedures, answering phone calls, assisting patients in the office. This position is exposed to difficult situations in handling complaints, billing concerns and other complaints. Data entry must be accurate in the practice management system. Usually the Medical Assistant works at the Front Desk checking patients in and out.MEDICAL ASSISTANT ( MA ) JOB SPECIFICATIONSEducation and/or experience: Previous experience working in a medical office preferred but not required. High School diploma or equivalency required.Knowledge: Basic computer and clinical knowledge required.Skills: Excellent communication skills; must be organized, responsible, motivated and self-directed.Abilities: Must be able to multi-task, have outstanding customer service skills and the ability to problem solve.
