This is a dual role that required both clinical and admin duties. Responsible for a variety of patient care functions under the direction of physicians and mid-level providers. Greets & escorts patient to exam room. Obtains & records vital signs into the Electronic Medical Record. Maintains a safe & clean environment for the patient. Maintains equipment & supplies. Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with patients, families & coworkers. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Location - primary location will be at 1131 West St., Southington, CT occasional travel to HOCC - 100 Grand St. New Britain.
Qualifications
Education
Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification OR relative experience as outlined below.
Experience
In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered.
Licensure, Certification, Registration
Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.
