Job DetailsChristianaCare's Medical Group is looking to hire a
Full-Time Medical Assistant to support the My65+ and Primary Care practices at Rehoboth and Milford.The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting our physicians in the examination and treatment of patients with virtual and on-site appointments, will deliver quality patient care and perform other clinical and clerical duties within the practice. This position will require flexibility to travel to a different location, per practice needs.Delivering health, not just health care is our promise to our community. Work Schedule:- Monday to Friday: Day shift
- Early shifts, ideally 7:30am start times on assigned days.
- No weekends/holidays

Key Responsibilities:- Rooms patients to include taking and recording patient vitals
- Supports and participate in telehealth (video) visits
- Performs point of care testing, injections, and EKGs
- Assist providers with examinations/procedures
- Completes necessary patient-specific paperwork and screenings
- Ensures EMR is up to date with all pertinent test results in preparation for next visit
- As per state guidelines, performs sterilization of medical equipment
- Handles prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills
- Schedules tests, procedures and surgeries.
- Performs quality control on all POCT (point of care testing) and equipment
- Perform clerical and administrative duties
- Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications:- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or
- Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
- 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant, is preferred.
