EMR experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills required. Experience with computers, fax/copy machines, telephone and etiquette.Licenses/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.Responsibilities:We are committed to improving the health of our community by delivering exceptional care and services. As part of the team in the Oncology Department you will:Take responsibility for the preparation of treatment rooms as well as ensuring the cleanliness of the rooms after the visit.Preparing patients for the physician evaluation. This will include a medical history interview, documenting vital signs, and recording complete and accurate information in patient charts.Working as a patient liaison by helping patients feel at ease in the physician's office and helping to explain the physician instructions.Work Schedule: WeekdaysShift: Day ShiftPhysical Requirements:Occasionally (1-33%) - Crouching/Squatting, stooping, pinching, stairs, carrying (0-20 lbs).Frequently (34-66%) - Standing, walking, sitting, change position, reaching, reach across midline, handling, lifting (0-20 lbs), pushing/pulling (0-20 lbs)Continuously (37-100%) - Must be able to see with corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly with assistanceCompensation: $17.00 - $19.55/hr, depending on experience.Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
