Job Description:

Swank Center for Memory Care at Rehoboth is looking for a Medical Assistant.

Swank Center for Memory Care at Rehoboth is located at 18742 Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach. Swank Center for Memory Care at Rehoboth is Delaware's first and most comprehensive outpatient office for patients with memory disorders and their families. Approximately 19,000 people across Delaware are coping with Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder.

Swank Center for Memory Care at Rehoboth offer patients and their families essential support, education, and guidance from diagnosis through treatment.

As a medical assistant you will be responsible for assisting physicians in the examination and treatment of patients with virtual and on-site appointments. You will also be responsible to deliver quality patient care and to perform other clinical and clerical duties within the practice.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday from 8am – 4:30pm

Duties / Responsibilities:

As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
