Job Summary
The Full-Time Instructor (FTI) works under the direct supervision of the Associate Director (AD) and with support from the Program Chair and Regional Campus Director. In this role, you will instruct students the standardized Ross curriculum, review lesson plans and prepare for class instruction, grade and electronically record assignments, actively promote student retention, support externship activities as applicable, and perform related work as required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Classroom Instruction
* Delivers course work as it applies to the appropriate Ross curriculum
* Utilizes contemporary teaching strategies and practices;
* Hold conferences with students on an as-needed basis
* Follows and enforces Student Guidelines
* Maintains classroom
* Enters classroom at designated time with all necessary materials. Begins and ends class at scheduled times and follows scheduled student break times
* Monitors class retention rates and actively participates to promote student retention in order to exceed accreditation standard of 70%
* Scheduled for approximately 30 hours of instruction per week
Outside of Class Time
* Review standard Ross curriculum and prepares for class instruction
* Corrects student assignments and tests and accurately record grades
* Cooperates with lab schedules, maintains weekly office hour(s) and assist with evening coverage
* Completes curriculum training in advance of each Module instruction
* Completion of a minimum of one pre-approved professional development workshop, seminar or course related to the teaching discipline of the Instructor every fiscal year
* Attends two Ross Education LLC in-services every fiscal year
* Attends formal and informal faculty/staff meetings
* Informs Associate Director immediately of unsatisfactory academic student progress, discipline or attitude problems, and occurrences that warrant discussion
* Attends quarterly faculty meetings
* Assists with preparation of Advisory Board Meetings and attends meeting
* Trains new Instructors
* Conduct visits for approval of new student externship sites and complete student externship follow-up calls as needed
* Performs related work as required

Requirements
Instructors must qualify as stated below. Any exception will be reviewed on an individual basis and must be approved by the Director of On-Ground Education.
* Graduation from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
OR
* A minimum of five (5) years of job-related experience
* Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum
* Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
* Ability to use current Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
* Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally
* Ability to travel locally to visit externship sites or other meetings
* Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
* Must be able to teach 5 mornings plus 2 evenings per week
