We are committed to offering a work to life balance for our employees.APPLY TODAY!*** POSITION SUMMARY:* Specifically, the Medical Assistant provides care to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and assists with medical care under the supervision of the Physician or Physician Extender. While under the supervision of the Physician or Physician Extender, the Medical Assistant obtains clinical intake information. Performs dressing changes and assists with in-office procedures and exams, and arranges for community care and diagnostic tests as needed. The Medical Assistant maintains the flow of patients through the practice in concert with the clerical and other nursing staff.* QUALIFICATIONS:* EDUCATION:* Minimum:* Highschool Degree or equivalent.* Preferred:* Graduate from an accredited school for Medical Assistants or prior experience.* LICENSE:* PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:* Preferred:* Certification obtained from a Medical Assistant School licensed by New York State* WORK EXPERIENCE:* Preferred:* Prior experience in a physician office or other medical setting.* SKILLS:* Minimum:* Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.* Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.* Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.* Computer literacy.* Preferred:* Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record.Salary Range: $18.14-$19.80
