We are a home health agency searching for an ideal candidate to join our corporate finance department. TO APPLY: Responsibilities and Duties
Insurance Claims - submissions, resubmissions, claim follow-ups, denials, and appeals (paper and electronic) Completing billing transmissions/EDI files per the weekly/monthly billing schedule. Assist with electronic ERA payment posting batches when necessary. Handling timely verification of patients benefits for all primary/secondary payer sources prior to the patient/clients admission to include the identification of specific benefits covered/non-covered, policy limitations, required clinical documentation and specific billing requirements by payor source. Verifying benefits bi-monthly for all active Medicaid/MLTC patients and/or private insurances and Medicare Clients. Handling credit and collections processing and monitoring effective accounts receivable management. Other duties as needed.AcademicA high school diploma or equivalent and three years of billing experience in a health care environment, or an associate's degree, with a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Health Care Administration and billing experience in health care environment.Candidate with good communication skills and proficiency in computer and data entry skills.Salary Range (annual) $50,000 to $60,000 commensurate with experience Time Off Paid Time Off, Sick, and Paid holidaysBenefits Medical, Dental, and Vision, 401(k), Voluntary Location Merrick NYTO APPLY: EOE
