Responsible for monitoring accounts to ensure collectability of reimbursement and payments from insurance carriers and/or patients for laboratory services.Responsible for accurately coding and entering patient anatomic pathology services into billing software.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Medical or laboratory billing coder experience or experience as a claims examiner to include customer service experience

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Medical Coding certificate
Required Computer Applications: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook Required Other Computer Applications: Required Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of CPT4 and ICD-10
CRT/PC experience
Use of correct English grammar and spelling
Ability to maintain a cooperative attitude in dealing with staff
Ability to maintain confidential information
Strong interpersonal and organization skills.
