Job Description:
Diamond Medical Laboratories -

Experience to include :

    • Experience in handling team leadership
    • Knowledge of processes like Billing, Posting, Accounts Receivables, Denial Management & Correspondence review
    • Understanding of metrics like Days in AR, Ageing above 90 days, and Collections
    • Hands on in preparing daily, weekly & monthly reports from the Billing System using Excel
    • Identify trends and initiate plans to resolve AR issues
    • Resolve more complex client issues
    • Monitor invoicing and collection processes and ensure on-time payment collection of monthly invoices. Keeping records of invoices, deposits, and all correspondence regarding payment collection
    • Generate and distribute management reports in accurate and timely manner
    • Interact with the clients effectively

    Adhere to organizational policies and procedures

    Lead by example by demonstrating the highest standards of ethical behavior

Proficiency in the following areas is preferred:

  • Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements.
  • Competent use of computers, Microsoft Office, and 10 key calculators.
  • Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes.
  • Effective communication abilities for contact with insurance payers or facility clients to resolve issues.
  • Customer service skills for interacting with patients regarding medical bills and payments, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, appeals, collections.
  • A calm manner and patience working with either patients or insurers.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology likely to be encountered in medical claims.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act better known as HIPPA.
  • Ability to multitask.
