Job Description:
Montefiore Nyack's Hematology Oncology department has an opening for a Part Time Medical Coordinator to Assist Physicians and Nurses with drawing blood for patients in the medical office located in the hospital. Under the direct supervision of management is responsible for performing individually assigned patient care activities based upon established patient care policies and procedures and routine tasks essential for upkeep of the Hematology Oncology Center. Successful completion of Medical Assistant program preferred or National Healthcareer Association certification (NHA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). 2. Experience: Two to three years of progressive experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist in a fast paced medical office or hospital setting preferred. Recent work experience in Phlebotomy required. 3. Training/Certification: BLS certified. Demonstrated work experience and competence in Phlebotomy. 4. Licensure: N/A 5. Other: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, outlook.
