Medical Director / Executive Medical Director, Clinical Development
Our mission at Capsida is to develop a new class of targeted, non-invasive IV administered gene therapies. We have three wholly owned programs in CNS, including potential best-in-class treatments for genetic epilepsy due to STXBP1 mutations and Parkinson's disease associated with GBA mutations, both of which are expected to have IND submissions in early 2025. Our candidates achieve breakthrough levels of neuronal transduction throughout the brain, up to 70% in certain brain regions, while simultaneously detargeting the liver and other peripheral organs. We also have partnerships with AbbVie, Lilly, and CRISPR Therapeutics.
The Medical Director / Executive Medical Director, Clinical Development will have the opportunity to progress the clinical development of our internal pipeline. Key responsibilities will include leading and working in cross functional teams to advance investigational therapies into the clinic, interacting with global health authorities, filing INDs, designing and executing Phase 1/2 (and later phase) trials, working with therapeutic area experts and investigators, and analyzing and interpreting data.
