Medical Directors oversees clinical services to ensure regulatory compliance in accordance with CMS, Joint Commission, OASAS, and OMH standards and guidelines.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides primary patient care on inpatient mental health unit and chemical dependency unitAttends court proceedings as needed for legal proceedings associated with patient careServes as consultant and liaison with medical floors, emergency department, and nursing homesProvides clinical oversight for inpatient detoxification and rehabilitation services including medication assisted treatment.Provides tele-psychiatric services with St. Anthony Community HospitalProvides on call services one night a week and one weekend a monthCompletes peer reviews with insurances carriers to determine medical necessity and prior authorizations for medications/careOversees compliance with electronic records and accurate billing for each encounterWorks with administrator regarding policy and procedure, utilization, and productivityMeets Psychiatric Core Measures accurately and timelyCompletes psychiatric evaluations and discharge summaries within 24 hoursPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in psychiatryEducation: M.D. with board certification in psychiatry and/or addiction preferredLicenses / Certifications: Board certification in Psychiatry, Board certification in Addiction preferred.Other:For more information about this opportunity, contact Corey Deixler, Director, Senior Vice President of Physician Services at ...@WMCHealth.org or 845-###-####.About Us:Bon Secours Medical GroupBon Secours Medical Group, part of Bon Secours Charity Health Systems (BSCHS), a regional network of more than 120 primary care physicians and specialists from a broad array of medical specialties.
