Job Description:

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H+H Queens Hospital Center (QHC) has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Director of CAOPD. QHC serves the culturally diverse community of Eastern Queens and is seeking a full-time Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. The Outpatient Services include the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic, School Based Mental Health Programs, Child Crisis Intervention Services, Pediatric Emergency/Crisis Consultation Service and an opportunity to participate in new initiatives including Transition Aged Youth Program and Caring Transition Services.

The Director is responsible for the administration, planning, organization and overall general management of QHC Child and Adolescent Services. The Director will join the Medical leadership team of Behavioral Health, participate in quality assurance and incident review management meetings and report to the Chief of BH Ambulatory Care Services and the Chief of Psychiatry.

Candidates must have a MD/DO degree and be Board Certified with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Qualified candidates should have strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, communication and interpersonal skills. Prior management/leadership positions and experience with academic medical center and/or public health systems is preferred.

We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.

H+H Queens/Mt. Sinai is also proud to begin a new Psychiatry Residency Program launching July 2025. The Child/Adolescent Director will join this leadership team and play an important role in resident education.
