Our primary goal is to reduce the waitlist for autism diagnosis in the state. We provide evidence based diagnostic assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorder. Our team is multidisciplinary and collaborative. Primary Responsibilities
- Provide medical follow up, diagnostic evaluations, and related services for individuals that have or that are seeking a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder
- Provide education to parents, community, and professionals about autism spectrum disorders
- Collaborate with other medical professionals and psychologists on diagnostic evaluations
- Order genetics and other labs associated with the broad spectrum of developmental questions associated with autism spectrum disorder
- Provide appropriate referrals for ancillary healthcare services including referrals to speech and OT/PT, psychiatry
- Maintain medical license in state of Missouri
Required Qualifications
- Medical doctorate in general medicine, pediatrics, or psychiatry; pediatric or psychiatry specialty a plus
- Licensed in the state of Missouri to practice or eligible to be licensed; the ability to provide medications management services for individuals with autism and comorbid behavioral health disorders a plus
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Experience working on a multidisciplinary team
- Experience providing appropriate referrals for ancillary healthcare services including referrals to speech and OT/PT, psychiatry
- Ability to establish collaborative partnerships within the University and among regional service providers including Department of Mental Health and targeted case management agencies
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
