Location: Red Bay,AL, USA
Conducts routine tests for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, and performs related duties, following established standards and practices. Performs blood tests and studies morphology of constituents of blood to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs various bacteriological mycological virological and parasitological tests to provide data on cause and progress of disease. Often directs other staff members such as MLT and Phlebotomist.
Responsibilities:Education:
Bachelor's degree required in medical technology or one of the sciences and eligible by experience, education, or training to sit for the MT (ASCP) exam or equivalent alternate exam.

Additional Skills/Abilities:
1) Certified or eligible as a medical technologist by the ASCP, AAB, AMT, NCA, HEW.
2) Completes hospital and departmental orientation.
3) Ability to work in a stressful environment.

5) Willingness to work irregular hours with varying assignments.
6) Understanding of safe work practices.
