About The Position**Job Title:** Medical Lab Scientist**Job Specialty:** Lab**Job Duration:** Direct Hire**Shift:** Evenings, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; Rotating weekends and holidays**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week**Experience:** Not specified**License:** Must be a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist**Certifications:** Certification by a recognized board such as the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, the National Credentialing Agency, the American Medical Technologists, or the Board of Registry of the American Association of Bioanalysts**Must-Have:**- Bachelor of Science degree- Completion of a NAACLS accredited Clinical Laboratory Science program- Visual acuity and color discrimination- Ability to lift 50 pounds- Excellent verbal and written communication skills**Job Description:**- Accurately perform medical laboratory tests following established laboratory policies and procedures.- Adhere to performance and quality standards.- Maintain clinical instruments and develop new tests and instrumentation.- Train other laboratory co-workers.- Actively participate in the overall functioning of the clinical laboratory, taking on leadership or member roles on committees and projects.- Ensure the laboratory is in continuous readiness for inspection.- Possess extensive knowledge of techniques, instruments, and the basic medical sciences.- Take responsibility for the consequences of decisions and provide guidance to other laboratory co-workers.- Eligible for a sign-on bonus up to 10,000 and potential relocation assistance.9485986EXPPLAT
