Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Location: Duluth, Minnesota

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Primarily afternoon shifts (8 hours), with every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Position Overview:

Pride Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our healthcare team at Duluth, Minnesota. The Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician will be responsible for performing laboratory analysis, evaluating results, and ensuring the accuracy and timely reporting of results. This role is ideal for professionals with a passion for laboratory science and who are dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic support in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory analysis, including diagnostic tests and evaluations.
  • Report laboratory results promptly and accurately.
  • Recognize and resolve basic laboratory issues, ensuring quality control and precision.
  • Assist in maintaining laboratory systems, equipment, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care and diagnostics.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and lab records.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent educational background per ASCP Board of Certification alternate routes.
  • ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT), or
  • ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
  • Experience: Previous experience in laboratory settings preferred.
  • To qualify as a traveler, the permanent address of the traveler must be more than 50 miles from the facility.
