Medical Receptionists Needed for Maryland's Leading Provider of Urgent Care Services!

The Medical Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations by managing incoming calls, registering and greeting patients, and accurately obtainingand verifying patient information. This position involves creating and updating patient records while strictly adhering to confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations. The Medical Receptionist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering and directing phone calls, providing practice-related information within policy guidelines, and routing clinical inquiries or emergencies to the appropriate staff or provider.

  • Assisting with patient check-in, verifying addresses, phone numbers, and demographic details for both new and returning patients.

  • Ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of patient documentation.

  • Handling office tasks such as distributing mail, answering emails, and sending faxes.

  • Verifying insurance compatibility and collecting necessary documentation.

  • Processing patient payments, including co-pays and outstanding balances, within the patient accounting system.

  • Managing the check-out process for departing patients.

  • Scanning and attaching forms, x-ray reports, EKGs, and other medical documents to the electronic medical record.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized waiting room and front desk area.

  • Providing support to clinical staff as needed.

  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Professional Requirements

  • Medical Receptionist certification (preferred).

  • Required experience in customer service.

  • Exceptional demeanor and a positive attitude.

  • Strong customer service and multi-tasking skills.

  • Administrative knowledge.

  • Experience in a medical office is a plus.

  • Adherence to the attendance policy is mandatory.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to work at multiple locations and reliable transportation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work 12+ hour shifts.

  • Capacity to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Work Schedule

Full-time position with 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. shifts, 3 days per week, including rotating weekends. All centers operate 7 days a week, including holidays.

Compensation:

· $16.50 - $18/hour
