Pay Range: $16.45 - $22.21 / hour

POSITION SUMMARY: Schedules appointments, takes messages and maintains patient demographic financial information. Greets and directs department patients and visitors and provides assistance as necessary. Contributes to the efficient operation of the department by answering phones and providing a variety of clerical support.
EDUCATION/TRAINING: Previous receptionist or word processing experience preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: N/A
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must be able to type accurately and the ability to type 35 wpm is preferred. Excellent verbal, written, organizational and critical decision making skills required. Must be able to read, write legibly and communicate effectively. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff within the organization and community under varied conditions. Ability to operate a variety of general office equipment and use of a computer.
