Job Summary:This position's primary function is to support the medical records department by processing record requests, scanning, filing and providing support for the office.Job Responsibilities:
- Process all medical record requests.
- Filing of medical records and materials in medical records.
- Maintain appropriate records and files.
- Move supplies and boxes as needed.
- Handle and route incoming/outgoing mail.
- Duplicate, collate and distribute materials.
- Assist with mailings and other large scale collating projects.
- Maintain appropriate levels of paper in the copier, printers and fax machines while also maintaining an adequate supply of paper.
- Acts as courier when needed.
- Type memos, correspondence, forms, labels, etc.
- Track office supplies and prepares requests for orders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED equivalency required.
- 0-1 year work experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Use of office equipment, (i.e. computer, copier, fax machine).
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in a pleasant, courteous manner with patients, visitors and co-workers.
- Ability to organize work and accommodate a changing and unpredictable environment.
- Ability to move heavy boxes.
