Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PMJob Purpose Summary: The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining patient medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. This role is essential for ensuring that medical records are easily accessible to healthcare providers while maintaining legal, ethical, and operational standards. The Medical Records Coordinator is also responsible for providing all required documentation to insurance carriers to ensure efficiency in billing processes. Must be organized and able to communicate cross-departmentally. Responsibilities Include:-Review, sort, and log incoming mail to ABH and its subsidiaries-Assemble requested Medical Records and submit to requesting carriers-Log and track any applicable records requests, follow up with insurance carriers as necessary-Produce reports regarding medical records requests as needed-Liaise with Administrative, Operations, and Clinical departments to acquire requested information-Administrative support to billing department as needed Core Competencies: Communication, Customer Service Oriented, Dependable & Accountable, Innovative, Integrity, Quality (accuracy), Safety Oriented, Self-Development, Team PlayerJob Type: Full-time Recommended education: High School Diploma or equivalent Required experience: Experience working in administration in a behavioral health or medical office including medical records, utilization review, chart audits and records keeping. Proper Knowledge and Skills: Strong attention to detail, Possess good time management, excellent documentation skills, high productivity with accuracy, Proper English and grammar, usage and spelling, Software application related to the field, General offices principles and practices, Basic computer knowledge including email etiquette, and Microsoft Excel, Professional phone and customer service demeanor Physical requirements: Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs., Occasional to frequent walking, sitting, standing, driving, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing) Environmental Factors: Communicable diseases, Hot/cold temperatures, Environmental conditions may vary
